Simple Alarm App is a desktop alarm application that runs locally on your Windows computer. This privacy policy explains what data we collect (or don't collect) and how we handle your information.

Simple Alarm App:

• Does NOT collect any personal data

• Does NOT track your usage or behavior
• Does NOT contain analytics or telemetry
• Does NOT display advertisements

All alarm data, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device only.

Data Storage

Simple Alarm App stores the following information locally on your computer:

1. Alarm Data: Times, names, and settings for your alarms
2. App Settings:
   • Your preference for auto-start with Windows
   • Custom alarm sound selections (if configured)
   • Volume preferences
   • Hotkey configurations
3. First-Run Flag: A marker indicating you've completed the initial setup

Permissions Used

Simple Alarm App requires the following system-level permissions:

Global Keyboard Hotkey (CTRL+SHIFT+B)

• Purpose: Allows you to quickly open the alarm creation window from anywhere in Windows
• Scope: Registers a single keyboard shortcut
• Data Access: None - only detects when the specific key combination is pressed

System Tray Access

• Purpose: Runs the app in your system tray for quick access
• Scope: Creates an icon in the Windows notification area
• Data Access: None

Windows Startup Registry (Optional)

• Purpose: Allows the app to start automatically when you log in to Windows
• Scope: Writes a single registry entry to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
• Data Access: None
• Consent: Only enabled if you explicitly consent during first run or in settings

Third-Party Services

Simple Alarm App does NOT use any third-party services, libraries that collect data, or external APIs.

Children's Privacy

Simple Alarm App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.

Changes to Privacy Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. The updated policy will be included with the next app update.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Your data security depends on your Windows user account security
• We recommend keeping your Windows installation updated
• Standard file system permissions protect your settings files

Your Rights

You can:

• Delete all app data by uninstalling the application
• Manually delete settings at %AppData%\SimpleAlarmApp\
• Disable auto-startup at any time through app settings
• Use the app without any data being sent to external servers
